Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Chennai - Tirupati
Arrive at Chennai and proceed to Tirupati, check into hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Over night at Tirupati.

Day 2: Tirupathi - Tirumala - Tirupathi
Proceed to Tirupathi in the morning. A small drive will take you to one of the most holy shrines of Hindus the temple of Tirupathi. This famous abode of Lord Venkateshwara is the oldest and richest temple in India. The sacred hill of Tirumala is one of the highly visited pilgrimage centers for the hill is mounted by Tirupathi temple. The temple has a self-manifested idol of Lord Venkateswara and as the legend goes the deity had once resided in the temple.

Day 3: Tirupati - Kanchipuram
After breakfast proceed to Kanchipuram. En-route visit Vellore - Sripuram Vellore Golden temple. In the evening visit Shiv Kanchi temple and Vishnu Kanchi temple.

Day 4: Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Proceed to Pondicherry. En-route visit Shore temple - classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Crocodile park, Arjuna Penance and Five Rathas at Mahabalipuram. On arrival enjoy Pondicherry beach in the evening.

Day 5: Pondicherry - Thanjavur

After breakfast visit Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Matru Mandir and Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus. Proceed to Thanjavur and overnight stay at Thanjavur.

Day 6: Thanjavur - Trichy - Thanjavur
Proceed to Trichy. Visit the Brihadeeshwara temple - a World Heritage site and Vyonkoji Palace museum. Also visit Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple - largest temple in India and one of the largest religious complexes in the world.

Day 7: Thanjavur - Rameshwaram
Proceed to Rameshwaram - the place from where Lord Rama, built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita, from her abductor, Ravana. Arrive at Rameshwaram in the evening. Later visit Ramanathan temple. Note: Please carry a separate handbag containing pair of clothes along with you for overnight stay at Rameshwaram.

Day 8: Rameshwaram - Madurai
Early morning take Shpatik linga Darshan at the famous Ramanathan temple - a Master piece in Dravidian architecture. Later proceed to Madurai. Arrive at Madurai in the evening.

Day 9: Madurai - Meenakshi Temple
Visit Meenakshi temple - Madurai's claim to fame for its meticulous colorful carvings on the Gopurams (towers), in the vivid Dravidian image of Gods, Goddess, animal and mythical figures. Free time for shopping in the evening.

Day 10: Departure from Madurai
Transfer to Madurai railway station /airport for onward journey.
